Studio Policies

REGISTRATION FEE

Registration requires an annual membership fee of $35 for new students, and $25 for returning students. Dancers who have been with OKB for 10 years or more receive free membership.

The membership fee rolls over each year on April 17th and is charged to the credit card you have on file at the studio. This membership fee will hold your spot in your classes, automatically enroll you in your next age-level ballet class, and enter you into a drawing for a free year of classes. To opt out of this automatic rollover, an email must be sent to mrslaura.oyb@gmail.com and received by April 16th.

TUITION
  • • One hour of dance per week = $55 per month
  • • (add on) 30 minutes of dance per week = an additional $20 per month
  • • Company Members/Pre-Professional = group pricing
  • • Repertoire (YAGP & Grand Jete) = group pricing
  • • Private Instruction = $65 per hour
  • • Family Discounts: The third child of the same family receives half-off of tuition. The fourth child dances for free.


TUITION POLICIES

The dance season starts in mid-August and runs through mid-May. Tuition is based on one annual fee that is divided into 10 equal monthly installments (not the days in a month) and is paid monthly in August, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May.

After registering, tuition is paid by a credit card that is kept on file at the studio. Payments are made on the first day of the month. Credit cards that are declined will be run again and a $15 late fee will be applied.


CLASS WITHDRAWALS

Students must give a written notice of their intent to withdraw from class 30 days prior to departure. Note that registration fees and payments are not refundable.


COSTUME FEES

  • The Nutcracker
    Each year we reuse and recycle our Nutcracker costumes. Dancers borrow our costumes and return them in January. These costumes are a free service and may not be sized to your dancer.

  • Spring Ballet
    In May, we present our spring Ballet. Students are measured and sized then costumes are ordered for each student. The Ballet costumes are $80 and are divided into 2 payments: A deposit of $40 charged on October 1st, and the balance of $40 charged on January 1st. Your dancer will keep these costumes. All Acro, Lyrical, Tap, and Steps of Praise costumes are $50 (per costume) and will be charged to your account on January 1st.
