Hello,
My name is Laura Peterson and I am the founder and owner of Okatie Youth Ballet, or a OYB as we call it.
After teaching dance for over 30 years to thousands of students, and founding 3 other studios, I started OYB in 2012 with one principal in mind: to offer affordable, quality, educational dance, and to lift up students as leaders in our community. I believe that dance lessons teach life lessons. These same principles are followed today in everything that we do here at Okatie Youth Ballet. We are more than just great dancing!
At OYB, we are a family and give our dancers the opportunity to make lifelong friendships. The studio is a second home to our students and we encourage friendship and fellowship here.
We offer so much more than dance. We also offer choreography, teaching, leadership, and scholarship opportunities to our students. Our senior students remain a part of our family, teach for us, and continue to always be part of the Okatie youth ballet family. You cannot put a price on this type of learning and leader ship opportunity for your child.
